MINUTES OF THE 2010 ANNUAL MEETING OF
KULA KAI VIEW ESTATES COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION

HELD AT THE OCEAN VIEW COMMUNITY CENTER
ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2010 AT 1:00pm


Meeting called to order by President Larry Hayes at 1:25 pm.

Attending:

Officers: Larry Hayes, President, Carol Simms, Vice President, Kathy Hawkes, Secretary, Ron Hawkes, Treasurer

Board Members: Russ Appleyard, Rex Brumley, Don Coons, Donna Farris, Rod Frost, Rose Herrera, Gary Kneeland

We Established a Quorum There were 81 including those in attendance and proxies.

Approve Secretary Minutes from the last Annual Meeting

Rex Brumley motioned to approve the minutes as corrected. It was seconded by Bruce Bradley and passed.


Treasurer’s Report

Checking Acct as of 2-20-10 $ 16,984.77 .
Savings Acct as of 1-31-10 $ 37,571.07 .

REVIEW FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

We discussed the lawyer fees and Road Maintenance. Poha need repairs. Richard Bradley will volunteer. Treasurer’s Report was accepted.

 

DISCUSSION ITEMS

 

OLD BUSINESS

Renewal of covenants.

Peter Bosted motioned that the entire membership should be contacted to rescind the CC&R’s. Richard Bradley seconded.

Peter Bosted motioned that the CC&R’s would have expired in December 2010 had they not been restated by the board. Richard Bradley seconded. Motion failed.

NEW BUSINESS


John Wilson motioned that the KKVECA Board be instructed to conduct future elections for Board of Directors by secret ballot. Donna Farris seconded and motion passed.


Richard Bradley motioned to reduce the number of directors to the top 5 vote getters this year. Motion failed.


Dale Addlesberger motioned to have the Board contact the State Attorney General and the FBI to investigate the desecration of archeological sites by a private business in the subdivision. Janet Hayes seconded and the motion failed.

Larry Hayes motioned to set aside up to $10,000.00 to purchase a diesel tractor, preferably with a flail mower. Rex Brumley seconded and the motion passed.
