MINUTES OF THE REGULAR BOARD MEETING OF
KULA KAI VIEW ESTATES COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION
HELD ON MARCH 31, 2009 AT 6:00pm
AT THE HOME OF: RIC ELHARD & ROSE HERRERA
Meeting called to order by President Larry Hayes at 6:15 pm.
Officers Present: Larry Hayes, President, Carol Simms, Vice President, Kathy Hawkes, Secretary
Directors Present: Rex Brumley, Don Coons, Donna Farris, Rod Frost, Rose Herrera, and Gary Kneeland
Guests: Ric Elhard and his Sister and Brother-in-Law
Established a Quorum
Rose suggested quarterly board meetings at 2 hrs, attend to business only.
Don suggested we form a committee for the container project. Gary suggested forming a budget and then we can work on it without meetings. Gary would be the chair, with Larry, Rex, Rod, and Ron working with him.
Rex made a motion to obtain a container, including transporting it, not to exceed $3,000.00 and it passed.
Don made a vote of confidence to see us working in the black and striving to transfer $5,000.00 to the savings acct by the end of the year and it passed.
Gary made a motion to spend $500.00 on extras for the container and it passed.
Don will be the chairman of getting rid of the Christmas Berry plants in our sub-division.
Janet offered to do a quarterly newsletter. Janet is chairman.
Rex made a motion that the Gate Code will be changed to the new one by April 15th. Both codes will be in effect for a while. Rex will put a notice on the bulletin board to change it and to call Rex at 929-7321, Larry at 929-3610, and Gary at 989-1225 and it passed.
Rex made a motion to do away with Elton’s website and go with lunarpages.com and the new website will be: kulakai.net. The basic package is $4.95 a month and it passed.
Gary made a motion to authorize Don to purchase a recorder, not to exceed $200.00 and mail it back to the Association and it passed.
Meeting adjourned at 7:10.
